Electromagnetism & Optics in COMSOL Multiphysics is a specialized online course offered by the Multiphysics Modeling School at the University of Málaga.
Designed for engineers, scientists and students, the course develops practical skills for simulating electric and magnetic devices, electromagnetic waves and optical systems.
The program connects device-level electromagnetism, RF and wave phenomena, geometrical optics and multiphysics couplings through four coordinated subjects.
Focused on electromagnetic and optical modeling in COMSOL Multiphysics.
Online live classes, recorded for later viewing.
From low-frequency devices to waves, ray tracing and coupled phenomena.
Certificate issued by the University of Málaga upon completion.
Static and low-frequency electromagnetic fields, electric and magnetic interfaces, and multiphysics studies of practical devices.
Wave interfaces and studies, scattering and absorption, beams, RF systems, waveguides, optical fibers and photonic devices.
Geometrical optics, ray and beam release, trajectory analysis and the simulation of lenses and other optical systems.
Uni- and bidirectional couplings, coupling levels, manual strategies and the main multiphysics nodes for advanced models.
Academic period: from January to March, 2027. On average, about 5 weekly hours of online classes will be scheduled, distributed from Monday to Friday.
All online classes will be recorded and available to students for later viewing. Use the time-zone selector to check the class times in your location.
