Fundamentals of Modeling with COMSOL Multiphysics is an introductory online course offered by the Multiphysics Modeling School at the University of Málaga.

Course contents

Core skills for building and validating models.

Module 01

Basic Physics Interfaces

Core physics environments for electric and magnetic field, acoustics, transport of diluted species, laminar fluid flow, heat transfer and structural deformation of solids.

Module 02

COMSOL Modeling & Workflow

Model Builder navigation, geometry sequences, material definition, postprocesing results and repeatable modeling methodology.

Module 03

Studies & Solvers

Stationary, time-dependent and frequency-domain studies, solver setup and result interpretation.

Live online teaching with recordings for later review.

Academic period: from October to December, 2026. On average, about 5 weekly hours of online classes will be scheduled, distributed from Monday to Friday.
