This 60 ECTS online Master’s Degree in COMSOL Multiphysics combines fundamental and advanced simulation training, discipline-specific modeling, mathematical foundations, and a supervised Master’s Thesis.
This page presents the final 20 ECTS block, consisting of Mathematical Foundations and the individually supervised Master’s Thesis.
Registration for the April–May 2027 final block is open until March 2027.
Live classes recorded for later viewing.
Distributed across the academic period.
Academic period from April to May.
Mathematical Foundations classes and supervised thesis work.
Issued by University of Málaga.
COMSOL access included during the course.
Each course is a standalone university microcredential. Take only the training you need, or combine the three stages below before completing the final master’s block.
10 ECTS · Start with a reliable COMSOL workflow.
15 ECTS each · Study the areas relevant to your work.
15 ECTS · Automation, optimization and custom physics.
Complete Fundamentals, one Discipline and Advanced Modeling, then add Mathematical Foundations and a supervised Master’s Thesis to reach 60 ECTS.
Master Degree in COMSOL Multiphysics is the final academic block of the 60 ECTS university master’s pathway offered by the Multiphysics Modeling School at the University of Málaga.
It combines Mathematical Foundations (5 ECTS) with an individually supervised Master’s Thesis (15 ECTS), connecting numerical theory with an original simulation project.
Students must have completed or be enrolled in Fundamentals, one 15 ECTS specialization course and Advanced Modeling, Automation & Optimization. Together, the four blocks complete 60 ECTS.
Designed for students completing the 60 ECTS COMSOL Multiphysics pathway.
Online live classes, recorded for later viewing.
Numerical foundations followed by an original, individually supervised simulation project.
Certificate issued by the University of Málaga upon completion.
5 ECTS covering ODEs, PDEs, finite element methods, numerical solvers, preconditioners and domain decomposition.
15 ECTS individually supervised project applying COMSOL Multiphysics to a relevant research, engineering or industrial challenge.
Academic period: from April to May, 2027. Live Mathematical Foundations classes and individual Master’s Thesis supervision will be scheduled during this period.
All online classes will be recorded and available to students for later viewing. Use the time-zone selector to check the class times in your location.
The online classes will be held on weekdays (Monday to Friday) in two time slots:
