Structural Mechanics & Acoustics in COMSOL Multiphysics is a specialized online course offered by the Multiphysics Modeling School at the University of Málaga.
Designed for engineers, scientists and students, the course develops practical skills for simulating acoustic systems, micro-electro-mechanical devices, nonlinear materials and coupled phenomena.
The program connects sound and vibration, MEMS, nonlinear structural behavior, and multiphysics couplings through five coordinated modules.
Focused on structural, acoustic and MEMS modeling in COMSOL Multiphysics.
Online live classes, recorded for later viewing.
From sound and vibration to MEMS, nonlinear materials and coupled phenomena.
Certificate issued by the University of Málaga upon completion.
Solid mechanics interfaces, structural multiphysics couplings and fluid-structure interaction.
Acoustic theory, pressure and elastic-wave interfaces, ultrasound, aeroacoustics and structure–acoustic interaction.
MEMS modeling, electromechanics, piezoelectric effects, damping, fluid–structure interaction and device applications.
Hyperelasticity, plasticity, viscoelasticity, shape-memory alloys, creep, viscoplasticity and damage models.
Uni- and bidirectional couplings, coupling levels, manual strategies and the main multiphysics nodes for advanced models.
Academic period: from January to March, 2027. On average, about 5 weekly hours of online classes will be scheduled, distributed from Monday to Friday.
All online classes will be recorded and available to students for later viewing. Use the time-zone selector to check the class times in your location.
The online classes will be held on weekdays (Monday to Friday) in two time slots:
