COMSOL is currently the most powerful and flexible software for multiphysics modeling and is also well suited to work in single-physics mode. In addition, multiphysics modeling provides multiple and important benefits for companies, scientists, and engineers, both from the point of view of basic research, applied research and product and process development.

Provided that in your graduate studies you have taken fundamental or advanced subjects in scientific-technical subjects, such as those related to mathematics, physics, chemistry or engineering (thermodynamics, fluids, electromagnetism, heat transfer, etc.), the master’s degree will be easy for you to take because we will begin by explaining all the subjects from the very basics.

You have to be able to understand the online classes, interact with the professor, read the material and write solutions to the exercises and the master’s thesis. Therefore, it is desirable to have at least an intermediate level of English.

No. The evaluation process is carried out through questionnaires and homework assignments.

The workload is compatible with your university studies or your usual professional activities. An average of 5 hours per week of online classes will be scheduled, distributed from Tuesday to Friday. All online classes will be recorded and will be available for later viewing in case you are unable to attend live. Another 5 hours per week are estimated for studying and practicing the contents, and handing in the exercises.

There are no scholarships for the master’s degree, except for those grants that can be obtained from external institutions managed by the student himself/herself. However, there is the possibility of paying the tuition fee in three different installments, as explained on the admission page.

Currently, students must first take one of the specialties and once they have obtained one of the degrees, in the following years they can take the rest of the specialties and will be validated up to a maximum of 50% of the courses that are common, paying only for the courses that are not validated. As an option,  a student does the TFM on the topic of a different specialty and learn from that specialty.
