Rafael Serra Giménez
R&D Engineer/Design Manager, Beyma
He is an Image and Sound High Technician and Telecommunications Engineer, by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and works at Beyma, a loudspeaker manufacturer and developer company, as R&D Engineer/Design Director.
Experience
He has more than 15 years of work experience in the field of electro-acoustics and has worked in various companies in this area. Specifically, and for more than 10 years, he has been carrying out his current professional work in Beyma Acoustics, a company specialized in the manufacture of electro-acoustic transducers with more than 50 years of experience.
Research
He has been in charge of product design at Beyma since 2014. His projects, led by Rafael Serra Giménez from the beginning until its industrialization phase, focus on the design, development and commercialization of new Beyma acoustic products. He participates in several research projects related to the nonlinear behavior of electro-acoustic transducers for internal development. It is also noteworthy his frequent collaboration and involvement in research projects in charge of his company’s customers.
Numerical Simulation and COMSOL Multiphysics
In his company he has been performing tasks related to the analysis of acoustic measurements in the laboratory, providing internal training activities, creating measurement software for laboratory and developing applications and methods about transducer design tools based on COMSOL Multiphysics and intended for Beyma’s R&D team.
