Multiphysics Couplings

Winter term

Taught by Juan Manuel Paz García

The content of this course comprises the basic description of couplings and the main multiphysics couplings in chemical and electrochemical engineering.

In this first part we make an introduction to multiphysics and the classification of uni- and bi-directional couplings. We also list and describe in detail the three levels of couplings using various examples, as well as the techniques available to efficiently solve highly multiphysics problems.

Once the different types and levels of couplings we can perform are known, in this second part we focus on the theoretical description and configuration of the main available multiphysics nodes appearing in the field of chemical engineering and electrochemistry. These problems are extensively illustrated by solving examples of multiphysics problems in chemical and electrochemical engineering with practical interest.
